CTEC’s Truck Driver Training Program is recognized by employers in the industry as being one of the best in Minnesota. Our instructors pride them self placing safety and defensive driving as priority within the curriculum.
Quick and AffordableComplete your education in six weeks time and start your new career earning $40,000! Now that is return on your tuition investment. Tuition cost$5,500. Educational loans available. Classes are scheduled weekday, Monday through Thursday 8AM – 5PM courses start every six weeks. Students may choose weekends, both Saturday and Sunday 7AM – 5PM. Courses start every eight weeks. Job PlacementWhen you enroll in the Truck Driver Training Program, we will work with you to secure a pre-hire with a reputable truck driving company. You will know that upon completion of the training and passing the behind-the-wheel test that you have a job waiting for you. Hands-OnCTEC provides comprehensive training with 10 and 13 speed transmissions and 48 and 53 foot trailers that you will find in industry. Your training will include time in a Simulator that will allow you to practice skid control, and many other defensive driving practices and principals all in a safe controlled environment. Students in the Truck Driver Training Program will experience approximately 42 hours of classroom time, 57 hours of actual behind-the-wheel and 100 hours of observation of other drivers. Program OptionsCurrently, Truck Drivers’ Training is under development for a self-paced, alternate delivery of the classroom portion of the training. Program includes a certificate of completion recognized by Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations for entry-lever driver training. Customized options for Defensive Driving and Fuel Management, plus the opportunity to up-grade your company’s dock and warehouse workers to Truck Drivers. Individual refresher courses available by appointment. Once you have completed the application process, contact the truck drivers training program at 320-308-6522 so that the program can provide enrollment verification for you to your lender. At SCTC, we provide personal assistance to help you each step of the way. In addition to continuing education loans, many students have received financial assistance from the following: " Minnesota Workforce Centers have funds available for those who qualify. " Vocational Rehabilitation " Tribal Educational Assistance (Bureau of Indian Affairs) " Many over-the-road and regional truck driving companies have tuition reimbursement.
Non-Course Prerequisites : Must be 18 years of age with a Minnesota driver's license. Pass a DOT (Dept of Transportation) physical. Pass a drug and alcohol test as required by federal regulations. Have a clean driving record. Have a Class A CDL learner's permit. |
